Isn't Everything Temporary?...

Most sites start out with a temporary construction page while the full site is being developed. All you need is a name, contact info and some services,. Don't forget the logo and Bada Bing a site.

With this site I created a one page design that has the basics. A construction page for a temporary site that wont get much development, BUT will create development.

When I say temporary I mean it in a way that I know, and you know we all DIE. As will this site but long before you or I do, I Hope.

LoveBubble

A Zencart shopping cart install with a CLIENT design skinned in. We installed a hand-full of add-ons ( inventory by attribute, column display, checkout without account, newsletter, cross sell products) to improve on the store and it is still evolving. http://lovebubblelingerie.com

Taking a design that is not yours, breaking it apart and rebuilding a shopping cart around it can be difficult. You are taking a design you haven't created and placing it into a shopping cart you didn't create. After your done you feel accomplished but empty,.. I wonder if this how the father of clones feel.

Working with these product images was fun, I even offered to populate the store with its first batch of products and it made opening photoshop that much better.

The Best Site I Never Made

Any site that I create, I work on till I think it looks good. My opinion and client expectations aren't always the same. As a Web Designer I try and give the client what they want. In doing so, sometimes you dont post what you really want to or even like. This is a site design I loved and looked forward to finishing. However it was not the design that was chosen for the final site. Now it lays dormant in a forgotten folder, waiting to be incarnated into something else.

A Wordpress Theme

Working with wordpress has become widely popular. It is a great way to allow a client to easily manage content and dropping a free theme into a wordpress install is an simple way to start a blog.

I have mainly worked with editing themes and reworking the look for client needs. Now I have successfully created my own. I've recently taken a site design and created my own theme. Being able to create a wordpress theme has become an in demand craft. Another pixel I can put in my hat. Here is a screen shot of the design. ( and the active site here. )

Landing Page Revisited

Another simple landing page. The client asked for video and it to play upon visit, But when a site is visited or revisited I find it quite annoying and UN-user friendly. Having made this site you can see that I clearly drop my standards for payment.

As far as clients go, I have made sites for all industries and I'm not afraid of the more risque clientel. So the most recent is a landing page for an Adult store.
